E-bike to go does not handle any more data than is strictly necessary. The geographical location, for instance, is used to open and close the lock of an e-bike and set start and end times. Moreover, this data is used to help locate users and provide assistance in the event of a malfunction. Permission is explicitly requested for sharing the geographical data. E-bike to go only handles data that you or your employer share with us in order to provide you with services for which you have given us permission.

Carrying out the agreement
E-bike to go requires personal data for things like creating an account, concluding an agreement, executing the agreement, invoicing, product improvement and making offers. In addition, E-bike to go determines the location of an e-bike at the time of its locking and unlocking on the basis of a MAC or IP address. This location data is not personalised. In addition, E-bike to go may contact you if the agreement calls for this. E-bike to go may consult the personal details in order to prevent, combat and deal with fraud or theft or loss of a bicycle, and to protect its operations or property.
Complying with legal regulations
E-bike to go handles personal data to meet certain legal regulations. This may include compliance with statutory accounting obligations and tax regulations.
E-bike to go can also handle personal data on the grounds of a legitimate interest in order to ensure that its services are performed properly.

If E-bike to go makes use of third parties in the implementation of the agreement, which itself does not determine the purpose or means of handling your personal data, then processing agreements are concluded with these third parties. For how long is your data stored?
E-bike to go stores your personal data for as long as is necessary for the implementation of the agreement. Other data is stored for a maximum of two years, unless there is a legal requirement to keep it for longer.

When you wish to become a customer in Belgium, we provide your data to Modero Bailiffs Antwerp NV (Modero). Modero will perform a solvency assessment on you based on this information. Modero uses the information you provide and the information that is necessary as a bailiff’s office to properly carry out this legally determined assignment. In addition, all your data regarding your payment behavior is shared with Modero in the context of combating payment risks, preventing problematic debts and the recovery of outstanding debts.
